Criminal Defense Investigators play an integral part in public defense. Some of the critical duties of a MAC investigator include assisting attorneys in locating and interviewing crucial witnesses, examining reports of incident for discrepancies and completeness, and conducting scene canvasing. These tasks serve to produce a clearer picture of the alleged offenses against Clients in order to best prepare for a zealous defense. Not only do MAC investigators bring years of experience conducting thorough and impartial criminal defense investigations, but they are also committed to client-centered advocacy and representation. In addition to qualifications set forth by their licensing agency, the Texas Department of Public Safety, MAC investigators undergo a rigorous hiring process.
This includes participating in a paneled interview comprised of MAC attorneys and the Chief Investigator. Additionally, MAC investigators must be committed to adhering to “Duties & Responsibilities” to assure the practice of holistic defense, to maintain professionalism and complete excellent investigations. We firmly believe that a Client’s economic status or lack of ability to hire counsel should never interfere or dictate the quality of representation they receive.
