MAC Misdemeanor Appointment List
The Harris County Office of Managed Assigned Counsel (MAC) seeks attorneys who are committed to client-centered advocacy, holistic defense, and zealous representation. To fulfill those values, attorneys should be able to demonstrate through training and experience their knowledge and proficiency in direct client representation and support, criminal law and procedure, litigation and trial skills, and mitigation and negotiation skills.

MAC Misdemeanor Mentorship Program
The Harris County Office of Managed Assigned Counsel (MAC) Misdemeanor Mentorship Program seeks to develop new attorneys who are committed to client-centered, holistic representation. The Program provides an opportunity for attorneys, who otherwise do not qualify for the MAC Misdemeanor List, to receive a limited number of misdemeanor appointments while receiving intensive training and support. Upon successful completion of the 12-month program, attorneys will be eligible for inclusion in the MAC Misdemeanor Appointment List.
