What We Do

Holistic Representation

The Harris County MAC Office is committed to providing a zealous, client-centered, and community-oriented defense for each person that we represent. Each client’s needs are supported by a dedicated legal team. Attorneys, investigators, social workers, and court support administrators work to build the best possible outcome for each client’s case.

Resource Attorneys

Will serve as the primary liaisons between our Harris County MAC Office and the individual criminal county courts.  Our Resource Attorneys assist with intake assessment, manage appointment assignments between attorneys, monitor adherence to time standards for case processing, and assist panel attorneys with problem resolution in discovery, litigation, and trial issues.

Immigration Attorney

Will serve as a resource and expert for all matters related to clients with immigration consequences. Our Immigration Attorney will also keep our panel attorneys apprised of legislative changes and emerging issues in the field of immigration law.

Chief Investigator

Will ensure that appropriate resources are available for investigation and case preparation as well as provide direct investigatory services.  Additionally, our Chief Investigator will host trainings related to investigative services including but not limited to collecting/preserving evidence and locating/interviewing witnesses.

Social Workers

Will assist attorneys with connecting clients to available social, housing, and community services in order to help reduce the collateral consequences of the criminal case lifecycle.

CLES

The Harris County MAC Office will organize Continuing Legal Education for attorneys.  Please let us know if you have suggestions, comments, or questions related to CLEs by clicking on this link.
